my story
Dr. Garima Parmar, ND
MBBS (Doctor of Medicine, India)
DCH (Diploma in Child Health, India)
I grew up in a small town in India, where natural remedies and traditional approaches to health were a part of everyday life. As I pursued my education, however, my focus shifted toward conventional medicine. I completed my Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) followed by a Diploma in Child Health (DCH) and practiced medicine in India, gaining a strong foundation in diagnosis and patient care.
After moving to Canada, I was introduced to naturopathic medicine. Curious to learn more, I traveled back to India and spent a week at a naturopathic healing center where every aspect of care—from the treatments to the meals and daily routines—was designed to support the body’s natural healing processes. Immersing myself in nature and experiencing this holistic approach firsthand had a profound impact on me. It made me realize that health is about more than treating disease—it is about creating the conditions for the body to heal and thrive.
Inspired by that experience, I returned to Canada and pursued formal training in naturopathic medicine. Today, I bring together my background in Western medical education with evidence-informed naturopathic care to help patients identify the root causes of their concerns and support their journey toward better health.
I have seen firsthand how personalized care, nutrition, lifestyle changes, natural therapies, and a strong therapeutic relationship can transform lives. My goal is to empower every patient with compassionate, individualized care that helps them feel their best and achieve lasting wellness.
Outside the clinic, I enjoy traveling, exploring new places, and spending time with family while continuing to learn and grow as a healthcare professional.
How We Can Help
At pHotential Health, we take a personalized, whole-person approach to care. Rather than focusing solely on a disease label, we look at the underlying factors contributing to your symptoms and work to support the body’s natural healing processes.
By understanding how different body systems interact and identifying areas of imbalance, we create individualized treatment plans that may include nutrition, lifestyle counselling, botanical medicine, homeopathy, acupuncture, supplementation, and other naturopathic therapies
